Great watercolor demo! Interesting approach, starting with the mid-tones, like you said previously. Fantastic to see watercolor painting as it should be done, confident strokes, and a sequence of almost-accidents :-)

Thanks for putting it online!

wow that was ace, i always struggle in any paint or ink mixed with water with the 'blossoming' i usually paint on a flat surface and sometimes don't want to much blossoming, especially if its a2 size or a1 there can be just to much, i even throw stuff away if theres to much after the 1st dry time.. i can see how a slightly tilted work surface would solve that, i experimented with different papers to try and solve it, but still on a flat surface it makes little difference. i can see now the angle is gonna work to eliminate some of that, i dont mind some but not to much all over the place.. it has destroyed some of my paintings in the past, go back after drying time and blossoming everywhere has ruined the image, like i said ive actually thrown a lot away at that point. thats gnna be a big help to me i think.

also good to see the amount of pigment you use, im always to scared with water colour and end up with to much water and a to little pigment.

stages, i can see how that works well, with the windows and stuff... i do paint like that, maybe more than 3 stages sometimes with ink or acrylic, then last stage maybe finish with markers excellent tips. thanks statts. i subscribed cant wait to see more. gonna watch the other demo you did now:)
